Whether you live in Grand Cayman or you are just visiting I would 100% recommend visiting the Sister Islands; Little Cayman & Cayman Brac. I am going to dedicate this post to talk about Little Cayman. The population is around 190-200 people, it is approximately 10 miles long and an average width of just over a mile so when you wonder why it's called Little Cayman I think that explains it perfectly. To get to Little Cayman you fly in a tiny little propeller plane that holds 16 people. It is the coolest thing to sit at the front and watch the pilot.
We stayed at Paradise Villas which is about a 30 second walk from the airport (I'm not joking)... This makes it perfect for when you leave too as you check in for your flight and wait in their bar, The Hungry Iguana, and they will phone you when to come and get on the plane. Honestly it's the most surreal experience!
Little Cayman is the perfect place to go if you want to relax. There is honestly not much to do there so bare that in mind if you choose to go. It is a small Island but perfect place to go to switch off and forget about your worries/ disconnect from the world for a bit. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool and in the hot tub. We were even greeted by a local (Rock Iguana who are extremely protected and you'll see signs all over the Island to keep slow on the roads to protect them from you driving over them).
I would also 100% recommend scuba diving when you're there. The dive sites along Bloody Bay Wall are what they are famous for and I can see why. The wall starts at around 18 feet and there is an incredible sheer drop down that sounds like it would be scary but the visibility is crystal clear so you can see everything. The only thing we didn't get to do while over in Little Cayman is to go to Owen Island which is a tiny little Island Southwest of the coast. You car either swim or kayak over and have a relaxing time surrounded by nature.
