PLASTIC FREE, CRUELTY FREE, VEGAN DEODORANT - THE NATURAL DEODORANT CO

If you have tried a natural deodorant then you will understand the struggle of finding one that works. I always imagine if I was still in England it might not be as difficult but living on a tiny island means our options are limited. Every time I bought deodorant I found myself feeling so guilty because of the plastic packaging so I've been on the hunt for an alternative for a while. Luckily for us in Cayman buying plastic free and natural products has just become a lot easier with the online store Eco Cay. If you live here and you haven't checked it out yet then please look as soon as possible. There are so many plastic free options on there which will make your switch to a plastic free life that much easier.

The Natural Deodorant Co balm is cruelty free, vegan and comes in a glass jar so now more feeling guilty about the plastic waste. The idea is to scoop a little bit out and warm it in between your fingers and apply to your underarms. It's really gentle on the skin and unlike other natural deodorants I've tried, it actually keeps me dry throughout the day. Living and working in a hot climate REALLY puts deodorant to the test and I can honestly say I love this product and do not see me switching to any other brand. I have the scent Lemon and Geranium which is lovely and subtle and even after a long day working on the boat I still smell great by the end of the day. It even keeps me fresh while I work out and my bootcamp classes are pretty hardcore so I am extremely impressed by that.

Regular antiperspirants have aluminium in which block the sweat glands from getting to the skin's surface. Research has suggested the aluminium compounds may be absorbed by the skin and cause changes in estrogen and because of this some scientists have warned there could be a link between this and breast cancer so this is why it is really important to make the switch to a natural deodorant or at least one that is aluminium free. It may be daunting as you will find you will sweat more at first while your body is adjusting to the change but this does not last long and you will wonder why you waited so long to switch.

Have you tried this deodorant? Have you made the switch to a natural one yet? If you have let me know your favourite.
