Recently my boyfriend and I took a mini vacation from work and headed off to New York for 5 days.

We wanted to do all the typical tourist attractions as it was our first time visiting so before heading off we did some research and ended up purchasing New York City Passes which offer entry to 6 of the main tourist attractions but at a discounted rate (we also discovered once arriving at the places you get to skip most queues as you already have tickets so that's a very nice added bonus to think about).

We were lucky enough to see The Empire State Building at sunset and oh my gosh it did not disappoint. Look at that dreamy sky! 

 We checked the opening times of the places we wanted to visit so we could try and avoid the hundreds of people visiting. The Top of the Rock Observations Deck opens their doors for the first tour at 8am so we headed there nice and early and it was so worth it. Barely any people and no fighting the crowds for a good space and nice and empty photos.
